Anurag Thakur Questions West Bengal Chief Minister: 12 people have been arrested in the case of assault on three sadhus in Purulia, West Bengal. These people were going from Uttar Pradesh to the famous pilgrimage Gangasagar fair of West Bengal. It is being told that the mob beat these people considering them to be kidnappers.
According to India Today report, Sadhu had booked a vehicle with his two sons to go to Gangasagar on Makar Sankranti. According to the report, the way Sadhu asked about the route made some people suspect that he was a kidnapper. After this the crowd started fighting with the sadhus. So far 12 people have been arrested in this case.
According to Purulia Police, there was a misunderstanding between the sadhus and some local girls due to language problem, after which the girls started running and shouting. Due to this a crowd gathered there and the sadhus were beaten.
BJP targeted Mamata government
After the alleged case of mob lynching in Purulia, West Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has become an attacker on the Mamata Banerjee government. Union Minister Anurag Thakur has directly attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He asked why there is this atmosphere in Bengal? He has accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of appeasement and has also raised questions on law and order.

Talking to news agency ANI, on the incident in Purulia, Anurag Thakur said, “After all, why is there such an atmosphere in Bengal? The politics of appeasement has created such an atmosphere. If the foundation stone of Ram Janmabhoomi was laid, then curfew was imposed in Bengal. Sadhus An attempt is made to murder. Where is the politics of appeasement taking Bengal? Why this anti-Hindu thinking?”
‘Law and order has broken down in Bengal’
Questioning the law and order situation of the state, Anurag Thakur further said, “The law and order situation in West Bengal has broken down. The public money that comes is embezzled (embezzled). Corruption is at its peak, if If action is taken against them, even the ED team is pelted with stones. Why does the West Bengal government protect them (the corrupt)? Or have they given free rein to loot, or do their workers not listen to Mamata Banerjee.”

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has targeted the ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC) on the matter. Party’s IT cell head Amit Malviya wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Mamata Banerjee’s deep silence is shameful. Are these saints not worthy of your recognition? “Atrocities demand accountability.”
